Five Minute Friday: Song

It's Friday - my favorite day!  Time to link up with Lisa Jo Baker for FMF!  Set the timer for five minutes and GO!

It's a peaceful morning.  I've watered the flowers and had my coffee.  Email has been checked, I have caught up on Facebook and the check book has been balanced.  And as always - the soundtrack to my life is playing on Pandora.

Right now Love in L.A. by Ernie Halter is playing:

Maybe I'll be giving up in Love in LA
Nobody came my way and I'd have a say
giving up on love in this town
Nobody cool around
Wish I could say I found
Love in LA
Music is the backdrop to my life. It would be drab without it!  I often awake with a song in my head.  I know all is well in the world when my daughter is singing.  Where there is silence I feel the need to fill it with music ... and singing.  Loudly.  And badly.

Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 carries me on to the rest of the day.  It's going to be a lovely one!

STOP.

  1. Isn't Pandora the best solution for most situations!? :)

  2. Would you come balance my checkbook? Seriously. ;)

My Pandora is mostly instrumental--praise, David Nevue, harp, spa music, epic soundtracks. But I seldom listen to it. I prefer silence. But you've encouraged me to turn it back on.

  3. Haha! Maybe listing to some David Nevue while balancing the checkbook will make it feel a little less stressfull! It sounds like your playlist would be very calming. :)

  4. I tend to keep the music off, but when my husband enters the room, he always turns it ON! I can't think with the radio on, he can't think with it off. It was always a funny point of tension between us and then our daughter was born and she is just like her daddy. So now I'm outnumbered! Silence is no longer the norm, and I think I like it :)

  5. I wish i could find the motivation to get so many things done during the day. I think its wonderful that the "mundane" things in life are what allows you to experience peace and joy.

  7. I love Pandora. I know what you mean about always having a song. I joke that I need to have someone follow me and play my theme song in life...now to figure out which song that would be. Great post :)

  8. Thank you, Casey! Haha! Wouldn't it be great if life was like a musical! It would be even better if I had a beautiful voice!
